+We are pleased to announce Alpine Linux 2.7.0, the first release in v2.7 stable series.
+
+Since v2.6, among the various bugfixes, several packages have been upgraded:
+- kernel is based on 3.10.18
+- php 5.5.5
+- qemu 1.6.1
+- xen 4.3.1
+- postgresql 9.3.1
+- samba 4.1.0
+- nsd 4.0.0
+- asterisk-11.6.0
+- bluez 5.7
+- openssh 6.4p1
+- lua 5.2.2
+
+Some of the desktop applications that got upgraded and are available for v2.7:
+- abiword 3.0.0
+- firefox 25.0
+- gnumeric 1.12.8
+- evince 3.10
+- virt-manager 0.10.0
+
